Acceptable Use Policy – SetuTau Network

1. Introduction

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") describes permitted and prohibited uses of SetuTau Network ("Platform", "we", "us"). By using the Platform, you agree to comply with this AUP. Violations may result in suspension or termination of your account.

2. Permitted Use

You may use the Platform to:

  • Browse merchant offerings and make legitimate purchases, bookings, or subscriptions
  • Operate a merchant store in compliance with our Terms and PayFast terms
  • Manage your account, team, and business information
  • Communicate with customers and support in a professional manner

3. Prohibited Conduct

You must not:

3.1 Illegal Activity

  • Use the Platform for any illegal purpose or in violation of applicable law
  • Sell, list, or promote illegal goods or services
  • Engage in fraud, money laundering, or tax evasion
  • Infringe intellectual property rights (trademarks, copyrights, patents)

3.2 Harmful Content

  • Distribute malware, viruses, or harmful code
  • Phish, scam, or deceive users
  • Promote violence, hate speech, or discrimination
  • Share content that exploits minors or is otherwise harmful

3.3 Abuse of the Platform

  • Circumvent security, access controls, or payment systems
  • Use bots or automated tools to abuse APIs or scrape data without permission
  • Overload or disrupt the Platform (e.g. denial-of-service)
  • Create multiple accounts to evade bans or restrictions

3.4 Merchant-Specific

  • Misrepresent your business, products, or services
  • Fail to fulfil orders or provide refunds as required
  • Use PayFast credentials or the Platform in ways that violate PayFast terms
  • Share or misuse customer data beyond what is necessary for transactions

4. Enforcement

We may:

  • Investigate suspected violations
  • Remove content or suspend accounts without prior notice
  • Report illegal activity to law enforcement
  • Cooperate with PayFast and other partners on compliance

5. Reporting

To report violations of this AUP, contact the Platform administrator. We will review reports and take appropriate action.

6. Changes

We may update this AUP. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated where practicable.
